The steering wheel splines and threads are great. Very straight no heavy binding. It feels like works alright but is dry inside and needs to be re lubed. No cracks or splits.

Should at least be inspected and possibly rebuilt before installation. Original m s-PS steering gear box. Removed from a 65 Mustang with factory power steering.

Correct for cars with manual steering or power steering. Housing casting number is C3DR-3550-a and date coded 5b6. No heavy rust. The movement does feel somewhat sticky at middle of rotation.

The steering box looks great mounting threads are. This is a 'long shaft' steering box. Overall, this is a great original m s-PS steering box.

16:1 ratio, 4 turns lock-to-lock, 1 sector shaft. The steering box is in great original condition. Very hard to find original Ford Mustang, Fastback, coupe, convertible, Gt, Gt-a, Shelby. The original id tag is stamped hcc aw and 5e19b.

Check it out. The shafts turn together well. Great shaft and threads.
