The steering box is in great original condition. Still has the original id tag stamped sma b1 and 4e06b overall, this is a great power steering box. No heavy rust. No guarantees on this box.

This is an original Ford part the steering box looks great. No cracks or splits. Check it out by ing here. Needs to be re lubed and inspected.

I always recommend a rebuild for safety purposes great shafts and splines threads. Housing casting number is D2DR-3550-aa and date coded 87. This steering box works. Very hard to find original.

The mounting threads are great. I do not feel any binding or stickiness in the movement but box feels dry inside. Original power steering gear box with Pittman arm nut and washer the shafts have full rotation Ford Maverick, grabber, Mercury Comet, gt. The shafts turn together very well.
