No posit or equal-lock Detroit locker. Impossible to find original with matching numbers and all correct parts gears are great. Overall, this is a great original 9 rear end. Main bearing caps all look great.

Has a great, but faded, original red oxide finish with factory markings. Differential is a c6aw-4206 open unit. No binding or sticking. You can rebuild it with a more desirable gear ratio or keep the super high gears for fuel economy and top speed ability.

32:1 gear set. This rear end is in great condition. Includes open differential and main bearing caps bolts has an original Ford No cracks or visible damage.

Ring gear has 37 teeth and is stamped fomoco d1aw-4210-a the pinion 16. No heavy rust or metal pitting. I do not believe it has ever been rebuilt.

32:1 gear ratio. It seems to work great but I have not driven on. Smooth mounting flange surface Ford, Mustang, mach 1, grandee, fair lane, 5 tiring, rancher, galaxies, Mercury Cougar, xr7, eliminator, gt, cyclone, montage, Monterey, etc. 32:1 ring and pinion gears front support plate snubbed guard.

The inside is clean. No heavy wear or chips. The housing looks great.

No heavy play or slop in the movement.
