I do not feel any sticking or binding. The mounting threads are great housing casting number is C0DR-3550-c and date coded this an original Ford part very hard to find. Original manual steering gear box with Pittman arm nut and washer. No cracks or splits.

For 6 cylinder cars the lubricant should be checked and possibly replaced. Very straight. I personally would use this steering box as-is, but you might have a different opinion, so no guarantees. Great shaft splines and threads.

The shafts turn together very well. Not for power steering or 1963 v8 cars overall, this is a great original 6 cylinder manual box. The steering box is in great original condition. No heavy rust.

It does work. Ford Falcon, deluxe, future, Ranchero, 1963 mercury Comet, custom.
