Seems to have a leak where the input shaft goes in so it probably needs at least new seal there. The steering box looks great. No real rust. No heavy binding or slop.

Very hard to find original. No cracks or splits Ford-Mercury passenger cars. Overall, this is a great original steering box and pitman arm turns lock-to-lock.

Original steering gear box with pitman arm. You should fully inspect this before installation and I always recommend a rebuild for safety. Removed from a 54 Mercury. This is an original Ford part.

The shafts turn together well. The pitman arm has an AD-3590-B casting number. Very straight.

The steering wheel splines and threads are great. Great input shaft and threads. The steering box is in great original condition. Housing casting number is AD-3550-a and date coded the mounting threads are great.
